Argentine golf at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Maggie Simmermacher is the Argentine professional who at the age of 25 becomes the first golfer in our country to participate in an Olympic Game. Before the start of the European Ladies Tour tournament, the Los Lagartos CC player had a chance to win the Olympic spot. However, it was necessary to wait until the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open concluded for that possibility to materialize. Since she was ranked 33rd in the tournament, her position in the Olympic Ranking was 58th with 399th place in the Women’s World Golf Ranking. Maggie Simmermacher was the winner of the Argentine Fans Ranking for the 2013/2014 season, and Argentina Fans Champion in 2017. She represented the Argentine Golf Association in different international competitions such as the WATC and the Los Andes Cup, where she established herself alongside the team. national in the 2017 edition.
