Happy 20th Anniversary Chapelco Golf & Resort

It's been 20 years since the inauguration of Chapelco Golf & Resort, a project that marked a turning point for golf and tourism-real estate development in Patagonia by becoming the first golf course in South America designed by Jack Nicklaus' company.

Opened in February 2006, Chapelco Golf & Resort joined the select international portfolio of Nicklaus Design , the firm responsible for some of the world's most prestigious courses. This milestone positioned San Martín de los Andes within the global circuit of high-level golf, granting it international visibility and design standards previously unseen in the region.

Designed as an 18-hole, par 72 course, Chapelco Golf & Resort is distinguished by a layout that respects the natural topography and the Andean landscape, harmoniously integrating into its surroundings. For the past two decades, it has hosted tournaments, sporting events, and social gatherings.

Awarded for 11 consecutive years to date as the Best Golf Course in Argentina at the World Golf Awards, the most prestigious international recognition by open vote in the world of golf tourism, it is also a member of IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators), with a close link with the Argentine Golf Association, the R&A and PGA organizers.

It has a professional training team for both learning and perfecting the sport, whose students are part of the Argentine national team, representing us outstandingly in high-performance competitions.

Applied engineering ensures that the playing field is open all year round despite inclement weather such as frost and snow typical of its location.
