Between March 25 and 28, Chapelco Golf & Resort had the honor of receiving the renowned Argentine golfer Vicente “Chino” Fernández who led a 36-hole double competition with enthusiastic participants who experienced this special clinic run by one of our main references of sport at an international level.

Vicente Fernández, born in Corrientes on April 5, 1946, has won more than 60 national and international tournaments. He from caddy at Hindú Club -Don Torcuato- to become, in 1964, a professional golfer. Between 1970 and the mid-1990s he competed on the European Tour and the Chapions Tour –ex PGA Tour- in the USA where he won four tournaments in addition to his eight victories at the Argentine Open.

Today, together with his son, he commands a golf school "La Providencia" whose purpose is not only to teach professionals and amateurs to play but to live the sport with creativity and enjoyment.

Chapelco Golf Club had the honor of having him as a guest at the end of March and organized the CHINO INVITATIONAL CUP, which was joined by a Golf Clinic on the 26th.

Those who signed up to participate in this double 36-hole competition –Stableford and Medal-, were able not only to strengthen ties with one of the popes of our golf but also acquired a tourist package that included 4 days at the Loi Suites, Green Fee and their place at the entertainment dinner that included raffles and awards ceremonies.

There was also time to take pictures, talk and very well liked, Vicente “Chino” Fernández had a relaxed and very interesting dialogue with Jorge Taylor, mentor of the Chapelco Golf & Resort development, in which they exchanged anecdotes reproduced in these three videos that we share with you.
